Dina Moody, Founder & CEO

Dina Moody led an active but unproductive fitness lifestyle for much of her life. She tried various recreational sports like running, aerobics, roller-skating, volleyball, tennis and badminton—all of which she enjoyed but tired of doing alone. As she began her family, she found more and more of her time devoted to the care of others while devoting no time to her own health and physical fitness. Like many women, with each child, she gained weight and lost most but not all so that by the time her last daughter was born, she was 5-10 pounds heavier than she wanted to be but simply could not find the time or energy to give to herself. Each year, a pound here and a pound there crept up on her until one day she realized she was 30 pounds overweight and she had allowed most of her family’s growing years to pass her by, avoiding photo-ops with her children because she was so unhappy with how she looked and felt.

In July 2006, Dina made a life changing decision and walked into her local gym to lose weight and reclaim the person buried deep inside--the one she actually liked. She plugged along for over a month, struggling on her own to figure things out until one day she discovered the benefits of personal training. To this day, she describes that event as the “luckiest day of her life!” Finally, Dina found what she was looking for—a fun and very physical workout that kept her constantly challenged and engaged. The following spring, when the bulky winter clothes came off, she emerged much as a butterfly shocking everyone she knew with her dramatic transformation. Gradually, Dina realized that, not only had she changed on the outside, she had rediscovered the confidence and  independence that had once been so much a part of her personality. She discovered that the better she took care of herself, the better she was able to care for others. In short, she became a better Dina!! It didn’t take long before she realized how much she wanted to give that gift to others. Already a passionate and dedicated advocate for living a healthy lifestyle, she decided it wasn’t enough to simply motivate everyone she knew to embrace fitness. She wanted to help them through their own  transformations. After much thought, she became a trainer and has been training ever since. Dina’s only regret is that she didn’t do it all sooner!!

Dina has been training and offering nutritional coaching for the past 5 years. She is a NASM certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist. She is also trained in TRX, core training and various other techniques. After a year of rigorous training she obtained and holds a certification in holistic health and nutrition from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
